Is Phi Phi islands worth the hype? YES, believe it baby. THIS... This life I am living, we love it over here. I spent this summer island hopping from one hidden paradise to another. "When the water is SOOOO blue" if you know the TikTok song, the water was crystal clear in real life, I'm talking HD quality.
It was an early 6am start, a car was sent to pick me up and take me to their office. On arrival, I was greeted with breakfast which was included in the price before settling up payments. This excursion cost me 4'400 Baht which was about £95, which I was able to pay on the day via card at the head office. We were a total of 11 people on this tour, 2 lovely groups of families of 5 and me. This meant there was plenty of room on the speedboat and during the tour, we all got to know each other throughout the course of the day. There was soft drinks, water and snacks on board, which we all helped ourselves too.
The highlights of this trip was Maya Bay were they shot the famous 'The Beach' movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. We weren't allowed to go ashore due to the weather conditions at that time, although the view alone was enough for me. We passed by the Viking Caves before snorkeling in Phi Phi Leh and it was INSANE. I use to think people applied filters over photos and videos of the Phi Phi Islands, but boy was I wrong. The water was so clear from surface level, you could see all the way down to the bottom. Make sure to bring your underwater Go Pro camera for amazing footage.
We got to stop by Phi Phi Lagoon and Monkey Island which again, the photos just don't do it justice. If you're in Thailand, you HAVE to do the Phi Phi Islands, I promise you'll thank me later. We got to stop for an hour to soak up the sun and go for a swim. The crew also provided us with beach blankets to lay on to avoid sandy but-cheeks.
We stopped off at Phi Phi Don Island for lunch and I sat with Captain Marc, and a lovely lady called Jo and her family. Over lunch we shared previous travel stories and we all ate GOOD. One thing about Thailand, you'll NEVER go hungry because there is an abundance of food to be eaten.
We finished off the day with more island hopping and snorkeling, before heading back home. This whole trip was AMAZING, from start to finish I was blown away of how tailormade and personal Captain Marc and Anna made everyone's whole experience feel. As a young female solo traveler, it can be daunting when going on excursions alone, but Marc and the team made me feel so comfortable and even offered to take some photos and videos for me, which was so cute. Although I had come prepared with my selfie tripod stick, it was so nice they still went out of their way to help me.
I first found out about Phuket Sails Tours through my mum and aunt, who actually booked with them back in 2017, and they both did not stop talking about how this was the best part of their holiday. Now 7 years later, Phuket Sail Tours is still providing families, couples, friends and even solo travelers like myself, with an experience of a lifetime.
They have truly mastered the art of creating a fun-filled day, packed with breathtaking views, water sports and exploring, without compromising the safety of their passengers and leaving them with great memories to look back on and share with their families and friends.
Speaking as an experience island hopper in over 5 countries, Phuket Sail Tours is a reputable company which I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a great time at an affordable price. I know their are a lot of other tour companies which are cheaper to book with, but what you don't get with them is the small group numbers and that personalised touch we all want, especially when your paying for a service.
The bigger the boat, the more people it tends to carry, which in the past has meant there isn't enough seats, food or drinks to cater for everyone. Captain Marc make sure to only carry 20 people per a trip, and it made such a big difference, far surpassing any previous tour company I've sailed with. Make sure to book with them and tell them you saw my blog and Jasmine-Jaed sent you, my good friends Marc, Anna and Jack will look after you click the link to see their website phuketsailtours.com.
I had such a good time with Phuket Sails Tours, the next day I went on their James Bond Island sunset tour and your girl was literally driving the boat, I kid you not. The stories I'll tell my future children one day, I'm going to be the coolest mum ever.
